Discovering art through painting and drawing has always been a part of my life .

From my early years I'd draw before I could write.

 

I dreamt of vast arial landscapes  in vivid colour with movement .

 

Over the  years I've used many media and explored various styles.

I find the the process of observing joyous and therapeutic- a skill and luxury often lost in our modern frenetic world.

 

I enjoy  working instinctively from life, in the studio, sometimes including  a sprinkle of imagination, for me it is an exciting journey of creating an image into an oil  painting.

 

I've now devoted my time to painting in oils on canvas. My evolving style is often fairly "loose" but with discipline  and to reflect the mood of the moment of real scenes.

 

I've spent time with artists and creators and devote time to learning.

I'm seeking to bring a  newness and freshness of approach.

 

I trained as a medical doctor - having pursued hospital training in Surgery then  in Emergency Medicine and latterly  Aesthetics.

 

I was the head doctor of an A&E dept at a Surrey hospital for over a decade.

 

Having worked at a fast and sometimes furious pace . Occasionally  in unpleasant circumstances, my  love of  art and painting has always brought a welcome refuge from everyday life and it's struggles.
